Batman had near unlimited resources, gadgets & contacts. But, he was just a man. To me that is the mystique of Batman. He has no superpowers. He’s not from some far-flung world. He is a man, an extraordinary man, but just a man.
In our Chronicle, Batman was played by Joe Dutro. I picked Joe for his practical, down-to-earth nature. Together, we explored Batman’s world, and Bruce Wayne’s. What happens when the Batmobile breaks down? Does Bruce have a Day Job? A Girlfriend? These things came up and we either had to look at the comics, or make them up ourselves. Most often, it was us…
